In 2023, the Web3 sector was worth six trillion dollars and is forecast to grow 44.6% by 2030. Thirdweb, co-founded by Steven Bartlett, allows developers to build in Web3 without needing a coding upskill. Nine months post launch, Thirdweb raised $24m and R. Agency was briefed to amplify news of the raise and increase awareness of the platform.

Web3 is a hot topic with brands and marketers as they look to build on the blockchain and take advantage of the unique benefits it brings - decentralised, community-driven, and user-centric platforms. To date, very few Web3 companies are speaking to mainstream brands in an understandable way. We wanted to carve this niche for Thirdweb - leveraging Steven Bartlett as a spokesperson for the business around the raise. By developing audience-specific messaging, R. Agency was able to flex the campaign across crypto/Web3 publications, as well as UK and US national and marketing titles.
Nine months post launch, Thirdweb closed its Series A funding round - $24m from Coinbase, Shopify and Katie Haun - with the goal of onboarding the next 10 million developers onto the platform. R. Agency was briefed to announce the raise and build hype to drive brands and developers to the platform.

Results
In the week of the raise announcement, media exposure for Thirdweb rose by 4,525%, with coverage in top tier titles such as Sifted, TechCrunch, Evening Standard, Business Insider and The Independent. In the two weeks following the launch, active contract growth increased by 7%, along with a 650% rise in platform traffic, 35% increase in unique users and generated projects worth more than $13.5m in revenue.
