Systemiq Capital, a climate-tech VC, wanted to effectively communicate their unique investment thesis and the impact potential of their portfolio companies once scaled. Through in-depth interviews with founders, LPs and the investment team, the agency created a narrative that demonstrated how Systemiq Capital's approach channels investment into pioneering climate-tech startups. The Climate Report served as a vital tool for engaging current and prospective LPs, ultimately helping channel more investment into climate-tech startups.
(Project Details)
The project kicked off with portfolio company engagement and information gathering. Through detailed interviews with founders from Funds I and II, the agency built a comprehensive picture of their achievements so far and the potential for impact once these companies have scaled. To craft the narrative for Systemiq Capital’s unique investment approach, the agency conducted workshops with the investment team, while interviewing current LPs to understand why they continue to trust in their approach. Working closely with the designers, the agency brought the portfolio companies' complex solutions to life through infographics and imagery. The project culminated in a 70-page report showcasing Systemiq Capital’s investment thesis, spotlights on ten of their portfolio companies, and their ambitions for the year ahead.
Systemiq Capital sought to inform and educate their current and prospective Limited Partners (LPs) on their portfolio companies and demonstrate the real-world impact potential of their investments. They needed a compelling way to showcase both their distinctive approach to climate investing as well as the current progress and potential future impact of their portfolio companies in addressing climate challenges.
Results
The Climate Report was presented at Systemiq Capital's AGM, providing LPs with a clear understanding of the potential impact of their portfolio. In-depth interviews with founders across both funds created a compelling narrative that showcased Systemiq Capital's unique investment approach. The report has become a key tool for engaging prospective LPs, helping channel more investment into climate-tech startups.
