(Overview)
Founded by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, Neko is a high-tech, GP-led, preventative health company. Neko’s £299 body scan maps millions of health data points in minutes. Launched in 2023 in Sweden, Neko Health filled all available slots at opening in less than two hours. Neko enlisted R. Agency to lead the launch of its first site outside of Sweden, in London’s Marylebone. The agency developed a ‘seeing is believing’ strategy, and brought journalists, KOLs and presenters through the scanning process, resulting in a waitlist of more than 30,000 in the UK in the first month of launch alone.
(Project Details)
To communicate the value and power of a Neko Health scan, R. Agency developed a ‘seeing is believing’ strategy. This saw a steady stream of top-tier journalists, TV and news presenters, KOLs and tastemakers go through the scan. Tier one media and KOLs spent time with founder Hjalmar to understand the company’s vision for the technology and how the scan plans to revolutionise preventative healthcare. The launch was celebrated with a dinner attended by Daniel and Hjalmar, where tastemakers from the worlds of healthcare, technology, fitness and medicine came together to learn more about the company’s vision for the UK and beyond.
Founded by Spotify Founder & CEO Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, Neko Health is the Swedish-born preventative health company offering £299 full body scans. The tech-led scans, which take mere minutes, map hundreds of health data points to detect factors that increase the chance of chronic disease, and give each patient unrushed time with a GP to understand their data and create a plan for a healthy future. The service, which first launched in Sweden and sold out in hours, briefed R. Agency to drive awareness and secure waitlist sign-ups ahead of its UK launch.

Results
Within a month of launch, Neko hit over 30k bookings, surpassing the Swedish launch. Over 60% of these sign-ups were attributed to press and social media content. A total of 12 broadcast appearances were secured, including Sky News, BBC and Bloomberg. There were over 66 unique press articles, including features in The Guardian, The Telegraph, TechCrunch and Stylist. Finally, our KOL/tastemaker strategy saw us host top targets who shared their experience at Neko with their audience of their own volition, with no fee attached.
