As the world's largest provider of business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis helps companies assess and improve the environmental, social, and ethical performance of their supply chain. The company needed to strengthen how its impact story was told - both to help employees understand their role in driving positive change, and to better demonstrate the value of their platform to clients. Through extensive stakeholder engagement, the agency developed a clear and compelling narrative that aligned employees behind EcoVadis’ purpose and enhanced client understanding of their sustainability solutions.

The project began with comprehensive stakeholder engagement, conducting interviews and workshops with the EcoVadis team, customers, Advisory Board members and subject matter experts. From these insights, the agency crafted a concise narrative that clearly articulated EcoVadis’ impact. Practical applications of this narrative were then developed for different employee groups, ensuring it could be implemented effectively across the organisation. The process focused on creating a story that would unite employees behind a common purpose while helping clients maximise the value of EcoVadis' solutions.
EcoVadis, a global sustainability ratings provider that assesses companies' environmental and social performance, recognised that the impact of its work was being interpreted and communicated inconsistently. It faced two key challenges: employees struggled to connect their individual roles to the company's broader impact, and teams weren't consistently articulating the impact of its offering to clients. The company needed to develop a clear, unified impact narrative that would resonate with employees and clients alike.
Results
EcoVadis’ customer satisfaction and sales teams now have a consistent narrative for communicating the company’s value proposition. The new impact narrative has strengthened employee connection to EcoVadis' mission, with a clear understanding of how individual roles contribute to overall impact.
